FAQ

Questions we get asked

The ones that come up before anyone fills in a form. If yours is not here, ask it — a person answers, usually the same day.

We have no documented processes. Is this too early for us?

That is the most common starting point, and it is not a problem — it is the first deliverable. Where no baseline exists we build one: what actually happens today, who does it, where the time goes. You cannot rank changes against a process nobody has written down, so establishing that foundation is step one rather than a prerequisite you have to meet before we will talk.

Our data is a mess. Do we need to clean it up first?

No, and please do not. Cleaning it first means guessing what matters and throwing away the rest — and what looks like noise to you is often the thing that explains a number. Send it as it is: spreadsheets with three tabs of history, a photo of a whiteboard, a recorded walkthrough. The intake scores how complete your submission is as you go, so you can see what is thin and decide whether it is worth filling in.

Do we have to buy the software you recommend?

No. We do not resell anything, take referral fees, or hold vendor partnerships, and the roadmap is not a shopping list. Named vendors are illustrative — the point is the change, not the product. Several levers in a typical roadmap involve no purchase at all, and the ones that do are priced with an honest range rather than a quote we were given.

What if we disagree with the ranking?

Then say so, and it changes. The ranking is a starting position built from your numbers, not a verdict. Every lever carries its reasoning and the evidence behind it, so a disagreement is usually about an input we had wrong — and the workspace lets you edit those inputs and re-rank. There is also a "review my changes" request that sends your current state back for a fresh read.

What kind of businesses is this for?

Any business that runs on repeatable work — a distributor, a clinic, a field-services operator, a professional firm, a manufacturer. The examples on this site lean on manufacturing because that is where the deepest experience sits and a shop floor makes the ideas concrete, not because it is the market. The method does not change: establish the baseline, measure against it, rank what to change first.

How long does it take?

Days, not months. The intake is filled in at your own pace and is usually an afternoon's work spread over a week. Once you submit it, the roadmap comes back within five business days. There is no discovery engagement, no workshop series, and no consultant on site.

Is our data used to train AI?

No. Your assessment is analysed with AI tooling to produce a draft, and a our team reads and edits that draft before it reaches you — no client has ever seen model output directly. Your day-to-day edits inside the workspace are never sent to a model at all. The full detail, including every subprocessor, is on the Trust & Data page.

What happens to our documents afterwards?

Raw submissions are deleted twelve months after delivery, automatically, by a job that runs nightly — not on request, and not when someone remembers. Documents you attach to a lever yourself are yours and are kept until you delete them. The Privacy Policy lists every window and they are enforced in the database rather than promised.

We might open another location. Do we pay the setup fee twice?

No. Moving up a plan costs the difference in setup fee — Single Site to Multi-Site is $1,501, not $2,400 — and your monthly workspace fee moves to the new rate, prorated for the rest of the period you have already paid for. The difference buys the work the larger plan actually needs: each new location assessed on its own, and the cross-site comparison that does not exist below two sites. Your existing roadmap, history and uploads carry across untouched. So start on the plan that matches the business you have today — the full table is on the pricing page.

Do we have to send you our real customer and staff data?

No, and mostly you should not. Redact the names before you send anything: "Line 2" and "Operator C" work perfectly well. What the ranking needs is the shape of the operation — volumes, cycle times, where work waits, what things cost — not who is in it. Ranges and round numbers are fine too. If you would rather have an NDA in place first, say so and we will sign yours before you send us anything at all.

Can we cancel?

Yes, monthly, from inside the workspace. The roadmap you paid for is yours to keep — export it before you go and it leaves as a document you can read without us. What ends is the workspace: the tracking, the drift alerts and the quarterly refresh.

Can we see it before we buy?

Yes. The live demo is a complete worked roadmap in the real product — every tab, real numbers, a lever that is genuinely blocked. Ask for a link and it arrives by email; it is read-only and lasts fourteen days. Nothing about it is a slideshow.

Still deciding?

The live demo answers more than this page can — it is the actual product with a complete roadmap in it.
